While McDonalds’ big day may look a little different this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still plenty of ways to get involved.
From Wednesday, October 21, Australians will be able to support Ronald McDonald House Charities by picking-up a pair of Silly Socks or a Helping Hand from their nearest McDonalds or via McDelivery.
In an added bonus, $2 from every Big Mac sold on the day will also go the charity.
McDonalds Echuca owner Scott Moller said it was as important as ever for locals to support the charity.
“This year has been one of the toughest for Ronald McDonald House,” he said.
“I encourage people to throw their support behind the charity in any way we can. At Echuca, we're going to have to think outside the square about ways we can raise money.
“We've already had a few staff events throughout the year including dress like the boss and footy colours day where everyone has put in a gold coin donation.
“The Echuca-Moama community does a great job of supporting charities and I'll always be thankful for how much money they do help us raise.”
Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has been named as the McHappy Day ambassador for 2020.
