Lifeblood returns to Echuca in February

Lifeblood spokesperson Colin Littlejohn said it was not too late to book yourself in.

“Bookings are strong in the first couple of weeks but there are plenty of appointments left from February 22,” he said.

“A constant supply of blood is always required; whole blood only lasts for 42 days so we’ve just got to continually make sure our stock levels are kept up to standard.

“Echuca’s really good, they usually support us and especially the holidaymakers up there at that time of year.”

Blood donations are needed each week to help patients in times of trauma, major surgery, cancer treatment, pregnancy and a host of other situations.

The Lifeblood mobile donor centre will be in the car park at 438-454 High St.
