The racecourse welcomed the 60 plus ADF men and women in the border town to assist with the flood crisis on Sunday.
ERC manager Garry Armstrong said the club was proud to be of assistance.
“They were at the Echuca United Football Netball Club first, but the opportunity arose for us to host the troops,” Mr Armstrong said.
“The areas available at the ERC gives them far more undercover areas to ensure they are warm and dry, while attempting to get a good night’s sleep after a big day out there supporting our towns during this current crisis.
“They’ve set up their stretchers in the betting ring, the stewards’ room and also the old members bar, which have all got good access to showers and toilets.”
Mr Armstrong told the ADF members to “treat the ERC as their own and have full run of the facility”.
In addition to a home base, the troops have been supplied with a hot breakfast each morning.
“With the most generous support of Cadell Food Services and Two Tarts Catering, we are able to supply them a hearty breakfast,” Mr Armstrong said.
“Cadell donated something like 60kg of bacon and a 1000 eggs, while Lorelle from Two Tarts Catering has cooked it up each morning and thanks also to the Echuca Laundry which has supplied towels.
“The ERC joins with the people of Echuca and Moama to thank the ADF for being here in our time of need.
