Hansen Yuncken will take on the $24 million build of stage one of All Saints Anglican School, which includes 13 classrooms and five specialist learning areas for music, science, art, hospitality and design and technology.
The structural build will be followed by outdoor facilities, including a rectangular playing field, basketball/netball court, and playgrounds and outdoor areas for students.
There will also be a car park, school drop-off zone for families, and multiple bays for school buses.
Building work is expected to commence on the 16-hectare site on Verney Rd this month, with the school’s official opening scheduled for 2024.
The ASC already operates schools in Cobram, Wangaratta and Albury-Wodonga, serving approximately 2700 students.
Chief executive Reverend Peter Laurence said the ASC was delighted to have appointed builders with a national reputation and local Shepparton knowledge.
“Planning for All Saints Anglican School has been under way for some time, and it will be exciting to see those plans come to fruition during 2023,” he said.
“We have had strong interest and enrolments for the school and we can’t wait to deliver stage one ready for our Foundation students next year.”
Stage one is jointly funded by the ASC and the Victorian Government.
The school will start with classes from Prep to Year 7 in its first year, growing to all grades from Prep to Year 12 by 2029.
