Yarrawonga Friends in Common (YFIC) are gearing up for their biggest annual fundraiser with the Cuppa for Cancer on once again at event sponsor Mulwala Water Ski Club on Thursday, May 21.
Gather a group of friends, come along and enjoy a beautiful morning tea from 9.30am - 12pm provided by YFIC volunteers and generous members of the community as well as the chance to go into the draw to win some beautiful prizes donated by very generous local businesses.
An array of savoury and sweet delights will be available, with organisers saying donations of home-made slices, biscuits and small cakes would be gratefully received at the Mulwala Water Ski Club between 4pm and 6.30pm the Wednesday, May 20 before the event.
For a $10 contribution, guests will relish a morning tea “with fun and friendship to be had”, YFIC secretary Leon Porter said.
The May 21 event raises money for those tackling cancer in the district and helps pays for expenses such as accommodation at Albury’s Hilltop patient and carer centre or petrol for travel to Melbourne hospitals.
Raffle prizes include tandom trailer of wood, a backyard blitz donated by Yarrawonga/Mulwala Rotary Club, Byramine Homestead voucher, fuel vouchers and more.
So make sure to mark Thursday, May 21 from 9.30am to 12pm in your diaries and come along for a great morning raising money and awareness of the great work YFIC do in the community for those most in need.
