Echuca/Moama and District Parkinson’s Peer Support Group
This month will be busy for us with our meeting of the Echuca/Moama and District Peer Support Group being on Thursday, February 22 at 10am at the Echuca Community House (previously the Echuca Senior Citizens Rooms) 39 Landsborough St, Echuca.
Those with Parkinson’s and their carers are most welcome to join us for social interaction and learn about the condition. Please come along and see how it can help you.

Do you need a small repair on a garment, or a knife sharpened, or advice on what can be done to repair a loved item?
St Mary’s Parish Care for Creation group is working with the Uniting Church to offer an alternative to sending items to landfill.
Bring your items to the Repair Cafe and consult our volunteer repairers!

Bella AÇapella
Bella A’Capella is a small choir of enthusiastic singers who meet every Monday night at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Hare and Pakenham Sts, Echuca.
The harmonies produced are usually in 4 parts, without musical accompaniment.

Kiwanis Club of Echuca-Moama
Kiwanis’ service is not restrictive but does emphasise supporting children, including graduation awards and the presentation of Terrific Kids certificates in local primary schools.
We also operate the 10m vessel MV Kiwanis to provide cruises for disability groups.
This informal and eclectic Kiwanis group, with members aged 24 and up, holds dinner meetings on the first and third Monday of each month.
Membership could involve, among other tasks, secretarial and/or treasurer’s work, Bunnings barbecues or even assisting with the operation of ‘the boat’.
The main thing is that you want to be involved in the community, when time permits, and are happy to work in a team.

Echuca Historical Society and Museum
Echuca Historical Society and Museum is open daily at 1-3 Dickson St, Echuca from 10am to 2pm.
The current display is Little Known Facts of Echuca — Some Quite Bizarre.

The museum is hoping to find locals who enjoy working outdoors and could donate two hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly to help maintain our backyard and verandah exhibits.
Some of these exhibits are buggies, farm machinery, old tools, a smithy corner and engines — all needing volunteers to sweep, dust, oil and polish to keep the museum sparkling for our visitors.

Rich River Croquet Club
Are you recently retired or new to town and want to try something new and fun, come along and have a try at croquet, we would love to meet you. Croquet is suitable for men and women of all ages, and children from 10 years old. It is a gentle sport suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Croquet provides exercise and social contact in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Please wear flat soled shoes and sun protection. All equipment and training are supplied.

Echuca-Moama Twin Rivers Probus Club
The Echuca-Moama Twin Rivers Probus Club invites interested people to join our club and view what we have to offer.
Our monthly meetings are not boring. There is a guest speaker providing insight into their profession, whether it be a local business owner, a health professional, service providers or community groups — in each presentation, there is always something to learn.
During each month the club has an array of activities designed to interest everyone.
We offer indoor bowls, weekly coffee mornings, dining at local restaurants, gardening and book clubs, as well as a monthly cards afternoon.
Our activities officer is kept busy arranging day trips and other special events — trying to capture the interests of all members.

We meet on the last Monday of the month at Rich River Golf Club at 10am and the golf club puts on a courtesy bus for those that do not drive. (You do have to book for it.)
We have a guest speaker each month, and they cover a vast array of topics; and a five-minute speaker from the floor to talk about the whole, or even a segment, of their lives.
We have photos rolling through, covering all events of the previous month.
We have coffee mornings and lunches that are held in various places in town to support the local businesses.
We run day trips to local and not-quite-so-local attractions, and, in the warmer months, overnight trips as well.
The only month we don’t have a meeting is December, but we do have a Christmas lunch, again at the golf club.

Tracee Spiby has lived all her life in central Victoria and currently lives at Murchison East. Her interest in family history, especially her grandfather Albert Henry Spiby’s military history started her passion for writing.

Alton Gallery - ArtLife Exhibition 2024
Echuca Moama Artists are presenting a collection of new works by the Deniliquin group of painters, “ArtLife”, at the Alton gallery.
This fresh and vibrant exhibition, includes landscapes, abstracts, still life, floral studies, hand painted cards and pottery.
The exhibition will be open during February and March, at 111 Hare St. Echuca.
Gallery hours are Fridays, 10am to 2pm, Saturdays, 10am to 1pm, or by appointment.
