Hundreds of out-of-towners boarded The Vintage Train, made up of S-class diesel locomotives S301 and S313, from Southern Cross Station to Rochester on Sunday, January 26.

The train pulled in just before 1pm, with locals and railway enthusiasts flooding into town to see the 60 to 70-year-old locomotives.
Guests from across Victoria disembarked, touring Rochy and enjoying a meal in the sunshine.
Hospitality venues hosted visitors for lunch. They included Rochester Bakery, which opened especially for the day.
Crowds gathered to see the train pull into Rochy, including train enthusiasts who travelled from across the state.

For many travellers it was their first time in Rochy, while some returned to their roots or paid a visit after years of passing through.
Photographers and train fanatics from far and wide flocked to the station to catch a glimpse of the train, making a trip out of their journeys.
