Correctly tipping his first full round of the year, Dinan successfully navigated the AFL byes, with more country football games added into the mix.
“I take a bit of notice of the local teams and concentrate on how they're going,” he said.
“When the AFL has their byes, and there are more local games to tip, it's a bit of a better way for me to catch up.
“The tricky one was Euroa and Echuca and unfortunately I had to tip against Echuca which I don't like doing.”
Dinan didn't have the same divided loyalty with his beloved St Kilda this week, who had the bye, but said he often had to tip against the Saints this year due to their struggling form.
Dinan said he would use his winnings at several businesses around Echuca-Moama.
