IT goes without saying that this season has been a disappointing one for Ky netballers.

The Bombers have missed the finals, with just five wins, two draws and 11 losses.
It placed Kyabram ninth on the ladder, just above Benalla, Tatura and wooden spoon side Euroa.
Their season came to an end over the weekend with a decisive defeat to Seymour, 17-34.
While the Bombers kept up in the first half, quick ball movement from Seymour and an intense defensive effort proved too much for the Bombers.
“We kept up with Seymour in the first half, but then we certainly dropped off in the third and fourth,” coach Sarah Kent said.
“We fought hard just like we have all season, and particularly down in defence the girls really put in all their effort.”
Best on ground was no surprise, going to Shani Clark and Ash Mangan down the defensive end.
Kent said although it wasn't the end to the season she had imagined, the grit and determination of her players throughout the game is a sign of things to come.
“We know we didn’t live up to our potential this season,” she said.
“And without making excuses, a lot of our season saw us playing without our full force.
“When we had our whole side together we were strong and showed what we are capable of.”
She said one of the highlights of the season has been bringing some junior players up for senior games.
“We are focused on the club as a whole, from the seniors all the way down. The whole club is getting stronger, not just A grade, and that is certainly a goal for us,” Kent said.
“We’ve under-performed, but that just makes us all hungrier for next year.”
