Echuca man wins big at AACTA awards

After he produced the 2005 film, Mr Ryan worked as a taxi driver in Echuca before Nash Edgerton approached him to develop the series.

The series follows Ray Shoesmith, a hit-man for hire who makes a life out of balancing his criminal activities with his obligations to friends and family.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Ryan thanked AACTA for the acknowledgement and congratulated the other nominees.

The Australian Film Institute and AACTA, who coordinate the awards, acknowledge and reward Australian films, television series, short-form and digital content.
