Keynote speaker Bastien Treptel, who went from hacker to entrepreneur, will headline the Campaspe Murray Business Connect (CMBC) networking event.
Hosted by the Campaspe Shire and Murray River councils, the event provides the opportunity to hear Mr Treptel’s remarkable story of transformation.
He will provide practical insights for business leaders about the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Following CMBC’s successful first event, Murray River Council Mayor John Harvie said it was an important platform for strengthening the region’s business community.
“Our inaugural event was really well received, so we’re excited to once again bring the community together to network and learn essential skills for business success,” he said.
“Bastien Treptel’s unique experiences will provide valuable insights into cybersecurity, a topic that’s more important than ever as we navigate an increasingly digital world.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell agreed, and highlighted the benefits of professional networking.
“Along with the keynote address, the evening will also provide valuable networking opportunities, enabling local businesses to forge new connections, exchange ideas and gain new perspectives,” he said.
“We encourage businesses from across both councils to attend.”
CMBC is open to businesses in both municipalities and to the greater Goulburn Valley region.
The event will be held from 5pm to 9pm on Thursday, October 23 at The Venue, Moama Bowling Club.
Early bird tickets are available until the end of August, and groups of three or more can access a 25 per cent discount by using code ‘groupdiscount’.
