The brigade applied for funding through the RFSA Grant Scheme, which provides financial assistance to individual brigades, support groups and districts for purposes not covered by government funding.
Its application covered items that would assist in an office upgrade, and “a few other items” that would benefit the brigade.
This includes a custom brigade marque for community engagement events, a laptop, multi purpose printer/fax/scan machine, portable whiteboard, vacuum cleaner, filing cabinets and bookshelves.
The application was approved in full, and the brigade said community donations allowed for other associated items to be added to the recent haul.
“We would sincerely like to thank the RFSA and the community for enabling us to better provide for our members and community,” the brigade said.
“We couldn't have done it without your support.”
A key objective of the RFSA is to distribute a high percentage of proceeds generated from their funding programs.
Grants to NSW RFS volunteer brigades and support groups are intended to improve the level of equipment, training and welfare of members, and provide an overall community benefit.
