Corowa District Landcare is inviting the community to help protect the Grey-crowned Babbler, a woodland bird now listed as threatened in NSW.
A Grey-crowned Babbler Workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 15 from 4.30–6.30pm at the Buraja Recreation Ground Hall, 8064 Riverina Highway, Lowesdale.
Guest speakers Matt Cameron (NSW DCCEEW) and Rhonda Vile (BirdLife Australia) will share how to identify Grey-crowned Babblers, explain their habitat needs, and outline ways the community can help protect them.
Local residents who have seen Grey-crowned Babblers on their property, in nearby bushland, or along roadsides are encouraged to attend and report their sightings to support a regional mapping project.
