The school became a place where super-villains and superheroes played and learnt side-by-side, Voldemort and Harry Potter laid down their duelling wands to share in the wondrous world of reading, and fairytale and mythical creatures paraded together with mere mortals in the Book Week character parade.
Book Week is an annual celebration for young children dedicated to celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators, spreading joy, appreciation and the importance of reading.
School principal Janice Eddy said the week was full of a variety of activities that were designed around this year’s Children's Book Council of Australia theme ‘dreaming with eyes open’, inspiring artworks and craft activities, writing prompts and games.
