ECHUCA'S Mia O'Mara may have just earned her junior black belt in karate but navy blue will be the most important colour she wears this weekend.

The 13-year-old is set to represent Victoria at the National All Styles Championship which will be held in Glen Waverley, south-east of Melbourne.
O'Mara will face off against competitors who also have close to five years of experience in the sport.
“Karate is something I really enjoy doing, it's fun in every class and at every competition,” Mia said.
“I feel like I'm learning something new all the time and I think that is what makes it much more exciting.
“I've started doing the adult classes and I think that has helped me improve a lot. This weekend is going to be a lot of fun, no matter what happens.”
Remarkably, karate was the last of three martial arts disciplines learnt during her time training at Wickham's Martial Arts.
Her journey started with kickboxing lessons before turning to jiu-jitsu and now she is participating in all three sports on a weekly basis.
O'Mara's talent certainly haven't gone unnoticed as Wickham's as the Echuca College student has began instructing the centre's youngest members in some classes.
