The festival will be hosted by Autofest, a motoring group that formed in Shepparton in 1990 and hosts other major events, including the Shepparton SpringNats and Bathurst Autofest.
The Moama Motorama, the latest addition to the Autofest series, is designed to be a relaxed, social weekend for car enthusiasts to celebrate their passion.
Organiser Jacinta Walley, a Kyabram local, said she wanted to bring an event closer to home.
“We’ve been running a similar event to this for the last five or so years, just in a different area ... but we wanted to bring something closer to home,” she said.
“It’s very exciting, the words definitely getting around about the event, which is good. Locals are getting excited, and we’ve got a few interstate entrants as well and a lot of local businesses jumping on board to help sponsor and things like that.”
The event will begin on Friday, October 24 and run until Sunday, October 26, with Friday and Sunday to be entrant exclusive.
Friday will see all entrants arrive in Moama for a Meet and Greet in the evening at the Riverbank Moama.

On the Saturday, participants will set up at Leslie St, Echuca from 9am to 11.30pm for a street display where locals and guests can peruse the range of vehicles.
Once the street display concludes, the group will enjoy a mystery cruise, lunch and some free time before gathering at the Border Inn, Moama for a special entrants-only social night.
The main day of the event will be the Sunday, where visitors and entrants alike can enjoy the Show and Shine Festival, which kicks off at 9am.
Aside from the range of vehicles that will be on show, there will also be live music, food trucks, trade stalls, kids’ entertainment, a burnout car display and more.
Entry for non-entrants will be by gold coin donation, with all proceeds to go towards the Starlight Foundation.
Ms Walley said she was expecting a decent turnout and was keen to see the event continue to grow.
“I think for our first year we’d be happy to have 100 entrants and spectator-wise we’re hoping that a few hundred people will come down and see what it’s all about, and we look forward to growing from there,” she said.
“There’s plenty of variety, and it should be a good day out for the whole family.”
Autofest welcomes car lovers and their vehicles of all makes and models to take part in the inaugural event.
