Cultural workshops, indigenous arts and craft, artefact displays and special Storytimes
are happening at libraries in Mulwala, Howlong and Corowa.
Writing, colouring and bookmark competitions are on offer for students who can also transform household items into Indigenous symbols.
NAIDOC Week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and acts as an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations culture and history.
The RRL branches embrace the week’s celebrations with events designed to help kids connect with Indigenous culture.
Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala Libraries are hosting NAIDOC Week cultural celebrations with Aunty Iris Troutman.
Aunty Iris will lead an interactive storytelling and art workshop where the children will make their own footprint charms and contribute to a community canvas.
All events are free, but some do require bookings.
For our full holiday program, visit the events page of the Riverina Regional Library website: www.rrl.nsw.gov.au/events. Interviews are available.
