Mrs Roberts has been part of the club for four years, spending the past two years on the committee as the 2025 vice-president and now incoming president.
The Kyabram Probus Club, which currently has 75 members, is part of the larger national Probus and offers social connection and engaging activities designed for semi-retired and retired people in the community.
It’s an exciting year to be involved with the Probus club, which is celebrating its national 50th anniversary.
Mrs Roberts said the club would be doing a number of things to mark the occasion, wanting to use the milestone to take advantage of holding more celebrations throughout the year.
Mrs Roberts encourages newcomers to the community to get involved and suggest any interests they may have for new group activities.
“The more, the merrier,” she said.
But while the top job is taken, a seat remains at the committee table, with the club now seeking a dedicated volunteer to take on the secretary role.
The secretary will manage meeting minutes and support the committee’s work to keep the club running.
“I can assure anybody who wants to come along and join or have any involvement in that, that they’re really going to have a very enriched time with us and enjoy the company of others,” Mrs Roberts said.
Visit the Probus South Pacific website and fill in your details on the inquiry form to get additional information about the club and how to join.
The group meets at the Kyabram Club for its general meetings on the first Monday of every month at 10am.
