POLICE are searching for crooks who used an elderly man's lost debit card to purchase fuel, drinks and cigarettes in Echuca-Moama in January this year.

The elderly victim lost his card, which was paywave enabled, on the afternoon of January 29.
About 6.30pm on the same day, the lost card was used at a service station in Moama to buy drinks and cigarettes using the tap and go mechanism.
Shortly after, the card was used again at another service station in Moama to purchase more cigarettes.
At about 6.50pm on the same date, offenders attended a bottle shop in Echuca and purchased an amount of alcohol, again using tap and go.
Soon after, the card was used again to purchase fuel at a service station in Echuca.
Moama police investigators would like to speak with the people in the attached photos as they may be able to assist with inquiries into the fraud incidents.
It is believed they may have been driving a black Holden Captiva or similar, possibly with Victorian registration plates.
