THE Victorian Government will use a series of roundtables hosted by the state’s regional partnerships to help understand the local impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and pave the way for recovery.
On Thursday, the government announced the virtual Regional Roundtables to help identify the challenges and opportunities local communities face in driving social and economic recovery.
The Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership’s, which includes Campaspe Shire, KIT Van initiative is promoting a health message, with support from DHHS, and works in conjunction with other local service providers and a youth crew.
“Regional and rural communities are best placed to tell us how we can help stimulate their economies, bring visitors back to the region and strengthen local communities,” minister for regional development Jaclyn Symes said.
“It’s tremendously beneficial to hear directly from regional leaders and these roundtables and the ongoing advice we will receive from our local communities will be critical as we move to the other side of the crisis.”
The roundtables started in Gippsland last week and will continue over the next month.
