The 1st North Shepparton Scout Group came together on Wednesday, October 8, for its annual report and presentation at the group’s hall.

The event recognised the dedication, growth and achievements of Scouts and leaders over the past year.
Group leader Benjamin Scott received a Certificate of Proficiency, while the Joey Scout Special Service Award was presented to Evelyn Grass.
A District Silver Wattle for outstanding service was also awarded to Sarah Jefferis.
“There’s been a lot of leadership change over the past few years, so for our new leaders to be recognised was a real fresh beginning,” Mr Scott said.
Families, community members and special guest City of Greater Shepparton Cr Rob Schubert attended the celebration, with Cr Schubert commending the Scouts for fostering leadership, teamwork and outdoor skills.
Following the formalities, everyone enjoyed a barbecue, reflecting on the year’s highlights and discussing the group’s goals.
All members proudly wore their uniforms for the occasion, marking it a night of unity and pride.
