A personal care support chair and blood monitoring machine will help staff at SCC Moama care for residents at the 56-bed facility.
The chair, which is the first of its type for SCC Moama, helps residents experience daily routines safely and helps carers manage dressing, showering, foot care and other hygiene routines.
The blood monitoring machine provides accurate vital sign measurement for patients.
The electronic medical record integration gives clinicians immediate access to the information they need.
SCC Moama facility manager Katie Dax said it was important to provide residents with the latest available technology to improve their quality of life.
“We really appreciate the support of the Moama RSL at this time,” she said.
“This financial assistance has enabled us to purchase some of the very latest in resident care technology and provides a better all-round experience for residents and staff.”
Moama RSL chief executive Ashley Menzies said the $14,500 grant was a way to express gratitude for the high-quality services Moama locals receive.
“I hope this financial support will assist Southern Cross Care to continue the great work they do,” Mr Menzies said.
“I want to thank them for the wonderful care and other services they provide our residents. It gives their family members great peace of mind.”
