The Victorian Electoral Commission will be holding a series of information sessions from March to October for political parties and prospective candidates to familiarise them with regulatory requirements ahead of the state election on November.
The online sessions will cover political finance, nomination procedures, how-to-vote card registration, campaign obligations and election operations.
The sessions will be delivered in three rounds of six sessions each across a range of times and dates.
“Having a clear understanding of the rules well before the election timeline can help candidates avoid unnecessary errors and compliance issues,” Electoral Commissioner Sven Bluemmel said.
Candidates can attend any combination of sessions and recordings will be made available to participants.
