Police are investigating after a man’s prize electric bike was stolen early on Sunday, May 22.
Echuca Leading Senior Constable Simon O’Toole said the man had ridden his distinctive electric bike, valued at more than $15,000, to Liberty Service Station on Ogilive Ave, Echuca at about 5am.
As he was inside the service station, a man wearing a hoodie allegedly stole the bike, and headed east, he said.
Leading Sen Const O’Toole said while the bike was worth a lot of money, it also held sentimental value for the owner, as it belonged to his late father.
The bike has an rmy camouflage pattern, wide tyres with red and white pinstripe guards.
The bike’s electric components can only be operated with a key, which the owner still has.
Anyone who has seen the bike, or has information about it’s whereabouts, contact Leading Sen Const O’Toole at Echuca Police Station on 5483 1500
