A fire in bushland between Shepparton and Mooroopna on Wednesday, November 26 is likely to be treated as suspicious by police.

Firefighters were called to the fire in bushland on the southern side of the Peter Ross-Edwards Causeway on the Midland Hwy, just outside the Shepparton central business district, just before 2.10pm.
A CFA spokesperson said when firefighters arrived, a 40m by 6m area was on fire.
The fire was brought under control shortly after 2.20pm.
Overall, it burnt an area measuring 30m by 60m, the spokesperson said.
The fire was declared safe shortly after 2.50pm and was being handed over to Forest Fire Management Victoria firefighters to do any blacking out that was needed.
A van and a caravan that were nearby were not burnt in the fire.
Police also attended the scene, and said it was likely to be treated as suspicious at this stage.
