Owner Carmen Fifield and her team had become accustomed to every order being takeaway but were pleased to change things up when COVID-19 restrictions were eased.
Ms Fifield said it was an emotional experience for customers and staff, who were relieved to see the return of table service.
‘‘Seeing all our regulars sitting down at a table for coffee was a great experience,’’ she said.
‘‘We are really blessed to have a tight-knit community. We feel grateful to be in Seymour and have the backing of the community.
‘‘It’s been great to see all the smiling faces again and we look forward to seeing plenty more of them.’’
Ms Fifield said she was thankful for community support that meant the business could remain open during restrictions.
‘‘We’re allowed 20 people inside and we are making use of outdoor areas to get some more people in. We’re lucky to be almost at capacity while adhering to the restrictions,’’ she said.
‘‘I’m confident hospitality will be quick to bounce back with everyone keen to get out again. And if we all keep following the rules, we won’t have to go back into restrictions.
‘‘Everyone is relieved to be out and about again, but they are also taking the restrictions seriously.’’
