On Wednesday, Golf NSW withdrew its decision from earlier in the week which stopped all play across the state.
In a statement on its Facebook page, Rich River said club members would be informed of the board's decision in coming days.
“Earlier today (Wednesday) the club received notification from Golf NSW that the NSW Government had reconsidered its position from earlier in the week and was now advising golf can continue at golf courses in NSW provided that Public Health Orders are complied with,” the post said.
“Golf NSW also advised that ultimately it was a club’s decision whether to re-open or remain closed based on individual circumstances related to COVID-19.
“The Board of Rich River Golf Club are currently considering this update and are in the process of obtaining legal advice prior to making a decision on whether the golf courses will be re-opened or remain closed.
“As soon as the board makes a decision in relation to this matter, we will advise our members accordingly. For now and until advised otherwise, the golf courses at Rich River remain closed.
“We thank all members for their patience and understanding while the club obtains the necessary advice to enable the board to make a fully informed decision in relation to this matter.”
