Today Foster will saddle up Herecomesmybaby in the seventh – with apprentice jockey Madison Lloyd in the saddle after her winning ride at Wodonga on She Won’t Leave.
She Won’t Leave and Lloyd spent most of Saturday’s $20,000 McGrath Family Handicap over 1590m midfield.
Lloyd rode a very patient race, waiting for a gap to open – and that didn’t happen so she moved six or seven wide on the home turn to find some clear air as the field straightened.
At the 100m mark She Won’t Leave literally exploded out of the pack to race away with the fourth win of her 30 start career.
Today’s Echuca meeting is a transfer from Kilmore and has given local trainers the chance to use the good old home track advantage.
With plenty of them grabbing the chance to give maidens in their stables another opportunity to get on the winning list.
In the fourth on the nine-race card – the $20,000 Moama Bowling Club Maiden Plate over 1100m – the locals have turned it into a bit of a showdown.
Alan Newton's Pal's Reward is the best local hope according to bookmakers, priced at $10 at the time of writing.
The gelding showed some real potential with a third in its debut at Warracknabeal on May 16.
The Cornish-Gaskin stable’s Golden Cat will also be looking to spoil the party; with the colt making its racing debut with Clayton Douglas on board.
Gwenda Johnstone's Bon Shadow will also feature in the race, entering the meeting at a price of $21.
Rhys Archard will be hoping for a flying start to the day with She Zed So in the Spot on Dry Cleaning Maiden Plate run over 2100m to open the day’s racing.
It will be the five-year-old mare's 10th start and she has been priced at $14.
Daryl Archard’s Rokatta is an outsider in race 3 at $71.
Veteran trainer Jim Lake will be hoping his home track can prove to be a happy hunting ground for his two-horse stable; with the ever reliable Rose of Capri looking to improve an a disappointing ninth at Bendigo last time out.
Racing starts at 12.30pm and is still closed to the public.
