Brock played her first minutes of 2025 after overcoming a serious illness, which had kept her out for the first 12 rounds.
Against lower table opposition Barooga, the Blues played confidently throughout the contest and secured a convincing 59-27 win.
Tongala was in control throughout the contest, more than doubling the opposition’s total in the first quarter for a 13-6 lead.
That advantage would stretch to 12 at half-time and beyond 20 by the final break, another impressive display in the final period capping a 32-goal win.
Having now won three of their past four, the return of Brock to the Blues’ rotation couldn’t have come at a better time, as her side needs to make a run over the remaining five rounds to play finals.
Numurkah suffering defeat at the weekend closes the gap to sixth position to six points and with Tonny’s rival Blues to play third-placed Mulwala this week, that gap could narrow even further.
Tonny will need to get past Echuca United to make that happen, a side that defeated it in round one.
The Eagles have won each of their past three and have finals ambitions of their own, two points back from the Blues.
The two sides will meet at Tongala Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
