The Echuca Moama Darts Association season came to a close this month, with the champions across three grades being crowned in a trio of grand finals.
The Jets, Misfits and Passouts claimed premiership glory, winning the A-grade, B-grade and C-grade titles, respectively.
In the A-grade match-up, the Jets soared past the Pissheads six legs to two in the first-to-six format.
It was the perfect ending to a great season for Jets players Dylan Oaff, Campbell Milgate, Will Broucek and Shane Broucek, with the quartet finishing on top of the ladder.
The Jets knocked off the second-placed Pissheads in the qualifying final, before besting them for a second time in the decider to earn the premiership.
In B-grade, the Misfits fired their way to victory over the Terrors in a nailbiter, winning six legs to five.
The Terrors finished fourth in the B-grade section, but defeated Echuca in an elimination final before topping the first-place 26ers a week later to reach the finale.
But there, the Misfits team of Luke Shields, Tom Collins, Calhoun Burt, Dallas Barnstable and Luke Thompson held off the Terrors in a tight encounter to claim the title.
The Misfits had a surprise 6-4 win in the qualifying final over the 26ers to reach the decider, narrowly edging out the Terrors.
In the third grand final of the night, the Passouts marched past Dads Army to win the C-grade premiership.
After besting Dads Army in the qualifying final 6-2, the Passouts got the job done again on grand final night 6-3 as they took home the trophies.
A total of 12 teams based at nine different pubs and venues across the region took part in the competition this season.
Darren Manners of the Pissheads was the top player this season, winning 21 of his 22 legs.
He cracked the ton 100 times throughout the season, the most in the competition, while also nailing four 180s and averaging a competition-best 21.96 points per dart thrown.
Oaff of the Jets was also fantastic — he hit 52 pegs, 99 tons, 25 140s as well as four 180s.
The EMDA’s new season will start in February, with new players and venues welcome.
