Monday, December 5
Fifteen members and one guest played three games in warm sunshine.
The winner was Peter van der Zande, winning three games with a +11.
Two other members also won three games, John Alstin and Jack Clee.
Hoops-in-one to Jan Tracy, Jill Graham and our guest Ava who also got a hoop-in-one while playing her first game.

Rich River Croquet Club
Wednesday, November 30
Rich River hosted Mooroopna to play the last AC pennant game of the season. To enable the match to be played, RR member James Gunn filled in as fourth player for Mooroopna.
John James and Dave Maher won both their games. Final scores Kangas 4-86 to Mooroopna 2-75.
Thursday, December 1
In social croquet, 20 members played doubles. Winners of three games were Doc Ryant +12 and Fiona Larcombe +10. Ian Grant and Kevin Harrison scored hoops in one.
In GC pennant, Kangas played Kyabram. Cherie Lessing and Greg Brierley are showing great form, with both winning their four games and breaking handicaps. Lessing went from 10 to one and Brierley from seven down to six. Keep it up for the finals. Final score, Kangas 8-74 to Kyabram 4-61.
Monday, December 5
GC pennant.
First semi: RR Kangas v Euroa at Numurkah. Scores Kangas 8-76 d Euroa 4-66.
Second semi: Deni Blue v Shepp Magpies. Scores Deni Blue 8-77 d Shepp Magpies 4-63.
Grand final: RR Kangas v Deni Blue at Kyabram Thursday, December 8.
Tuesday, December 6
Twenty-three members played doubles. Doc Ryant was the winner ahead of Brierley. Surong Gunn scored a hoop-in-one. Great to see John Kenley back at croquet.
An enjoyable evening was had by all who attended our Christmas dinner at the Rich River Golf Club. The culmination of the night was the ‘Margaret Kennedy Extravaganza’ production of Cinderella.
Wednesday, December 7
After a short AC pennant season due to bad weather and flooding, a final was played between Rich River and Shepparton at Mooroopna.
Scores were one game each after the doubles. Rich River then pulled out all stops to win the four singles. Final scores: RR 5-95 d Shepparton 1-53. Congratulations Russell Smyth, Ian Grant, James and Maher on your commanding win.
Kingball will be played on Saturday, December 17 at 9am for a 9.30am start. Players from other regional clubs are welcome to join us.
