A host of local sides are looking to continue strong form this weekend as football and netball clubs enter the home stretch of their seasons.

Echuca has a long trip away to Benalla at Benalla Showgrounds in Goulburn Valley League.
Both Murray Bombers sides are looking to extend big winning streaks, with senior football from 2pm and A-grade netball starting at 2.15pm.
In the Murray league, Moama returns from a week off by facing Deniliquin at Moama Recreation Reserve.
The Magpies are eyeing six straight football wins at 2pm, while the netballers can make it seven victories in a row at 1.30pm.
Echuca United is playing Finley at Echuca South Recreation Reserve, with both Eagles sides in decent form at the moment.
The footballers are looking to build on a great result against Congupna at 2pm, while the netballers eye consecutive wins for the first time this season at 1.30pm.
Other local Murray league club Tongala hosts Cobram at Tongala Recreation Reserve, with the senior football at 2pm being a big occasion, the Blues set to feature former Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli in their side.

In A-grade netball, Tonny is looking to bounce back to form after a close defeat last time out, with that game starting at 1pm.
In Heathcote District Football Netball League, Lockington-Bamawm United is travelling to Toolleen Recreation Reserve to take on Mount Pleasant, with two tricky clashes on the horizon.
The senior football match at 2.20pm will see fourth-placed Locky take on the league leader, while the Cats’ netballers, with two wins this season, are up against it facing second-placed Pleasant.
Leitchville-Gunbower is serving a bye this weekend and won’t be in action.
Finally, to Picola District Football Netball League, where Picola United is up against Tungamah at Tungamah Recreation Reserve.
The Blues are looking for a return to the winners’ list in senior football after halting their losing streak last week, that game beginning at 2.05pm, while Picola’s A-grade netball outfit faces the undefeated league leader at 1.30pm.
Both Mathoura sides are also playing this weekend and are still searching for a first win, with the Timbercutters’ opponent being Katunga at Mathoura Recreation Reserve.
The senior football clash is at 2.05pm, while A-grade netball starts at 1.30pm.
All football-netball matches will take place on Saturday, June 27.
Soccer
Echuca-Moama Border Raiders’ men have a huge top-of-the-table clash against Swan Hill on Saturday, June 27, in the Football Victoria Greater Bendigo League 2, with that match at Jack Eddy Oval from 3pm.
The Border Raiders women — currently second — will be heavily favoured to notch another win against bottom-placed La Trobe University on Sunday, June 28, that fixture also at Jack Eddy Oval and starting at 9.45am.
“We look really strong across the board, more than half of our representative squads are looking to consolidate top four spots, with our men's and women's teams leading the way,” Border Raiders men’s player and team manager Rish Kothari said.
“It should be another good year for the club off the back of our huge Ladies Day.”
Women’s football
Moama’s women take on Mansfield on Sunday, June 28, at Mansfield Recreation Reserve, looking for an impressive eighth straight win, with the first bounce at 2pm.
The Magpies’ youth girls have another bye this weekend and won’t be in action.
Meanwhile, Echuca United’s youth girls are playing Strathfieldsaye Storm in the Central Victoria Football League on Sunday, June 28, at Echuca South Recreation Reserve.
The Eagles are eyeing consecutive wins for the first time this season, with the first bounce at 11am.
Hockey
Echuca-Moama Hockey Club’s women have a big clash in Goulburn Valley Hockey Association against Mooroopna at Echuca College, which begins at 2.30pm.
The second-placed River Rats have lost their previous two meetings with the league leader and need a win to cut the gap at the top.
Meanwhile, the men’s side is also at Echuca College and facing Shepparton Youth Club Yellow at 1pm, the River Rats still searching for a first win of the season.
Both matches will take place on Saturday, June 27.
