Moama bowlers Matt Saunders and Jordan McGregor ensured the side's unbeaten streak stayed alive on the final day of the contest against Rochester, snaring nine wickets between them.
With Rochester resuming at 5-49 in pursuit of Moama’s low first-innings total of 86 at Moon Oval, the home side was bundled out for 80 runs on the back of Saunders’ match-winning figures of 6-25.
Saunders added Jesse Cuttriss and Lewis Cleary to his day one haul of four wickets, with Cleary’s wicket confirming a thrilling six-run win for Moama.
Jordan McGregor’s 3-10 also proved pivotal, including the crucial wicket of Rochester star Sean Williams for 25.
With a first-innings win wrapped up, Moama headed back to the crease to see if more points could be extracted.
Russell Stockdale got Moama’s second innings off to the perfect start, peeling off a blistering half-century including nine boundaries on his way to 53 runs off 37 deliveries.
Fraser Buchanan contributed 25 runs of his own to keep the score ticking along, although three wickets apiece to Myles Wade (3-14) and Adrian Pappin (3-14) stemmed the flow of runs.
Lower-order contributions from Kirk and Archie Teasdale, 14 runs each, propelled Moama to a score of 8-144, but the game ended there with minimal time to pursue an outright win.
Moama has now beaten Rochester on two occasions this season and is one of only two teams to remain undefeated, the other being Nondies-Cohuna.
Moama sits in second place behind Nondies and will face Kyabram Fire Brigade at Northern Oval next week.
