The women’s outfit was at home, welcoming Tatura to Moama Recreation Reserve for a tough contest on Sunday.
The Bulldogs found their way into the lead early, kicking two goals to one to lead 13-6 at quarter-time.
Moama fought back in the second, kicking the only major of the period, and adding three minor scores to take a 15-13 lead into the main break.
In the third quarter the game broke open, as the Mowers added three majors to open a more significant gap, before holding firm in the fourth period to secure a 5.5 (35) to 3.2 (20) victory.
Lily Hillman slotted two of Moama’s goals, while Shaleah Cooper, Tahnee Pfeiffer and Megg Savage found one each.
The win keeps Moama in pursuit of the dominant leader Shepparton United; the Demons the only side to beat the Mowers this year.
The side continues its home stand this Sunday as a competent Mansfield (2-1) comes to town.

Moama remains in ominous form, crushing its seemingly closest challenger, Shepparton Swans, by 54 points at Princess Park, Shepparton on Sunday.
Moama kicked three goals in the opening term to open an advantage and led 25-8 at the half.
The locals would really turn it on after the break, allowing only one more Swans major and kicking seven of their own to prevail 11.3 (69) to 2.3 (15).
Regular goal leaders Ruby McLeod and Chloe Ryan again topped the scorers’ list, kicking three each, while Finlay Height and Sophie Millar added two apiece and Macey Boyd rounded out the scoring.
The Mowers look hard to stop this season, having now defeated all four other clubs, with a combined percentage across those games of 740.43.
Moama has the bye this weekend, returning to action on Friday, May 22, in another clash with the Swans at Princess Park, this time an evening game starting at 6.30pm.
