Strathmerton’s 2024 season is continuing to go from strength to strength after it smashed Rennie in round five of the Picola and District football league action.

It was a case of no quarter given as Strathmerton took down their opponents, 136-13.

The first quarter saw Strathmerton comfortably in the lead, dominating the scoreboard 38-0.

It didn’t look much better for Rennie in the second quarter, the side going into half-time only having kicked six points to Strathmerton’s 58.

Meanwhile Strathmerton’s midfield group dominated clearances and was able to get the ball to the outside for the wingers and half-forwards to capitalise.

By the end of the third quarter it was all over red rover, as Rennie failed to score while Strathmerton crossed the 100-mark.

Strathmerton’s Timothy Looby was the game’s top-scorer with a bag of 11 goals.

Strathmerton currently sits top of the ladder.
