Echuca United’s hopes of finals in the Murray Football Netball League has come to a close, with both the senior football unit and A-grade netball being defeated by Rumbalara.
Rumba’s A-graders look primed for back-to-back flags in A-grade with the Eagles, their latest conquest 57-30.
Meanwhile, Rumba’s senior football side kept its season alive at the cost of another loss for Echuca United, clipping the Eagles’ wings 10.9 (69) to 8.10 (58).
In the Heathcote District Football Netball League, L-G’s senior footballers have moved into the top four after vanquishing Elmore 18.17 (125) to 4.8 (32).
Unfortunately, L-G’s success coupled with a 10.12 (72) to 17.18 (120) defeat at the hands of North Bendigo has eliminated Lockington-Bamawm United from contention.
While neither the Bombers nor Cats had any hope of making the finals in the A-grade netball, neither team could find a win in round 17, losing to Elmore and North Bendigo, respectively.
In the final round of the Picola District Football Netball league, Picola United and Mathoura faced off in its second derby of the season, with the Blues locking up its finals' appearance in the senior football 17.11 (113) to 4.7 (31).
In the A-grade netball, it was a similar story with the Blues ousting the Timbercutters 52-21 with neither team qualifying for the 2025 finals.
