Young gun footballer Jayda Richardson has excelled at every level of football she has played in 2019.
Her biggest achievement of the season came in June, when she represented Victoria Country in the U16 AFLW National Championships, as a bottom aged player.
The Victoria Country side took part in two matches for the event against Vic Metro and South Australia.
And the selection to the side came as no surprise to anyone involved.
Already an accomplished junior footballer, Richardson was named inaugural co-captain of the Moama Youth Girls side for the 2019 season.
An early season training camp involving the Bendigo Pioneers saw her invited to train with the club, and after some success in the development league, Richardson made appearances in the Pioneers girls’ senior side at points of the season.
The most dangerous events can sometimes give you the biggest thrill and Sam Davie is a prime example.
Last month, Davie travelled to the Northern Territory alongside fellow motorsport enthusiasts to compete in the Finke Desert Race.
In difficult conditions which included red sand, dirt and desert Oaks, Davie powered through the field to claim a sixth placed overall finish among 650 participants.
Davie also finished in fourth place in the 451cc and above four-stroke category following his time of 4.15:25.
His effort is an amazing demonstration of resilience in last year’s Finke race, after suffering a race ending injury.
Davie’s 2019 finish follows on from a fifth place finish in 2017.
