ECHUCA-MOAMA WARNING OVER FALLING TREES

THE recent run of hot weather has increased the number of falling branches and residents and tourists are being warned about the dangers of parking, camping and even picnicking underneath gum trees in particular.

Large branches from two gums in Collier St, Echuca, fell without warning today – one landing just a couple of metres from a man standing nearby.

In recent summers heavy branches have fallen on cars and houses – in one incident a large branch crash landed on a moored houseboat.
