On February 27 all operational police will enforce Operation Buckle Up, targeting the non-compliance of seatbelt wearing across the division.
Police said seatbelt non-compliance remained a contributing factor to death and serious injury on the roads across the division.
Due to this police are reminding people that all vehicles fitted with seatbelts must comply with seatbelt legislation and all occupants must be wearing them at all times.
Police will be issuing infringement notices of $330 and three demerit points to drivers not wearing seatbelts.
