Number 4 Op Shop will open its doors on Monday, June 15, after COVID-19 forced it to shut in March.
CLRS chief executive Leah Taaffe said resuming services was part of its six-week re-start plan in light of the restrictions easing.
“It is of great benefit to the community to be able to access the op shops again, and not just CLRS but also the others in town,” she said.
“Having access to quality clothing, household goods and furniture at a reasonable cost is really important, particularly in the current environment where many people are not able to receive an income because of COVID-19 restrictions and the impact on local businesses.
“It’s also great for our clients, volunteers and staff to be getting back to doing tasks and activities they really enjoy and provide an opportunity for people to continue to build their skills.”
On Thursday, June 18, CLRS will re-start its Recyclability program with a sorting day.
“By July 27, our community activities and Recyclability will be back in full swing, depending on there being no further restrictions,” Ms Taaffe said.
Apart from having to close its offices to the public, community activities, Recyclability and Murray River Tea Rooms, CLRS had been coping well during the pandemic, Ms Taaffe said.
“We have had to work with staff to support them to deliver services in only one program area rather than multiple areas and we have had to scatter our office-based staff across our offices and their homes,” she said.
“Our clients have been supportive of the measures we had to put in place and continued to receive their services through the restrictions.
“Our staff have been amazing and continued to deliver really vital supports to people with disability in our community.
“They have done all of the training and testing asked of them and are so aware of delivering supports in a safe and well supported way as COVID continues to be a risk to the people we support.”
Murray River Tea Rooms re-opened on June 1, with new hours of 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
Number 4 Op Shop will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.
“We are still not accepting donations at the op shop but we are accepting donations through our clothing bins or by appointment,” Ms Taaffe said.
“We are planning on restarting kerbside collections and accepting donations via walk-ins from July 13.”
