National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day was celebrated on August 1 at Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative in Mooroopna.

Organised by Rumbalara’s family services, the annual event welcomed all families to celebrate and connect.

Designed for children aged five and under, the day offered a mix of crafts, cultural activities and storytelling. This free event provided a fantastic opportunity for the little ones to explore and enjoy their heritage in a joyful and inclusive environment.

News journalist Khadija Hadjab captured the event.
