With the votes cast, there was one clear winner as Euroa’s Olivia Morris secured April’s crown.
After a stellar start to the season it is evident Morris has not been suffering from a premiership hangover.
In fact, as coined by the Dan Does Footy Podcast, Morris and her Magpies appear to be having premiership kick-ons across the opening month of netball.
The Goulburn Valley League gun goaler has been a class above her rivals in 2025.
She could even be forgiven for asking the physio for a neck massage given how often her head is craned up eyeing off the net.
Sinking shots for fun, Morris and the Magpies are storming towards premiership favouritism after only four rounds.
Euroa and Shepparton remain the only undefeated teams left in A-grade.
Morris’ potency in attack has been a large factor as to why the black and white are such a force on the court.
The Magpies' star shooter has scored an incredible 218 goals from her four matches to lead the league by a mile.
Next best is Shepparton’s Kim Borger who has sunk 167 goals, then Tatura’s Charlette Gray (115), Shepparton Swans’ Chelsea McDonald (113) and Shepparton United’s Hannah Onley (112) make up the rest of the top five.
Morris opened her 2025 campaign with a 60-bomb against Kyabram in round one.
The Magpies star torched her opposition in attack as she plundered the Bombers’ defence.
She then backed it up with a 55-goal effort in the 2024 grand final replay against Echuca in round two, before bagging 49 goals against Rochester and 54 against likely finalist Seymour in the following two rounds.
If Morris was to keep up her 54.5 goals a game average this season, she would have sunk just shy of a thousand (981) on the doorstep of finals.
Euroa’s goaler has been the clear standout in the first month of the Goulburn Valley League’s A-grade season and will be a hot favourite to take out the top gong come the end of the year.
