Hosted by the Irrigation Farmers Network, in collaboration with CottonInfo and Murray Dairy, the conference brings together industry experts, researchers and growers to share ideas and tackle some of the challenges and opportunities facing irrigated agriculture.
Among the sessions is one on the latest research outcomes in irrigated farming systems, led by Damian Jones, research manager at Irrigation Farmers Network.
There’s a lot of uncertainty around water availability and climate variability, but there’s also potential for growers to adapt and thrive.
The conference, on July 22 at Rich River Golf Club Resort, runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and includes morning tea, lunch and networking opportunities.

Pubs, pots and profits
There’s nothing quite like a country pub — where great food, cold beer and a warm welcome are part of the landscape.
But running a regional venue comes with its own unique challenges, and the Australian Hotels Association is looking to help local publicans.
On Tuesday, July 22, AHA (Vic) is heading to the Echuca Hotel for the next instalment of Pubs, Pots and Profits, a free event tailored for pubs and hotels in Echuca and surrounding regions.
It’s a chance to connect with industry experts, suppliers, and fellow regional publicans facing the same challenges — and leave with ideas you can implement immediately.
Registrations are essential. To RSVP, contact Troy Patterson at t.patterson@ahavic.com.au or phone 0417 325 716.
Improved farm water calculator now available
Agriculture Victoria’s online farm water calculator has been a reliable tool for land managers to keep an eye on their farm water supplies.
It has now been upgraded and offers an even more user-friendly and accessible experience.
This valuable tool helps farmers estimate water requirements across the farm, storage capacity in tanks and dams and water supply potential from sources like shed roofs, waterways, groundwater and catchment runoff.
