The sale, from 10am to 2pm at The Shed, Simmie St, Echuca, includes fabric remnants and larger pieces, lace, furnishing and curtaining fabric, wool and tweeds, plain and printed cottons, zips, buttons and dress-ups.
It’s a goldmine for anyone looking to add to their stash or start a new project, with prices starting at just $1 and full bags of fabric you choose yourself available for $10. Both cash and card payments are welcome.
EMTC secretary Lesley Robins said it was perfect for crafters, costume-makers, teachers and sewing enthusiasts of all levels.
“Each Tuesday, some dedicated members of the theatre company work at our rehearsal shed, sorting through costumes, fabrics and props to make sure we’re organised and ready to begin our next show,” she said.
These efforts go hand-in-hand with the company's ongoing paver fundraiser, which is helping to build a permanent pathway connecting the current rehearsal space to EMTC’s new performance venue, the Blackbox Theatre.
For $50, supporters can buy a personalised engraved paver that will become a lasting part of the company’s future home.
Each paver allows for three lines of text, up to 16 characters per line, and can celebrate individuals, families, past performers or community supporters.
Anyone interested can request an order form by messaging EMTC via Facebook or emailing info@emtc.org.au
These fundraising efforts support the work of this volunteer-run company, which has been part of the local arts scene for more than 50 years.
