With so many kindergarten arts festivals, Shine Bright wanted to find a unique way to set its one apart, with the kids settling on “glow in the dark” as their point of difference.
Shine Bright teacher Emily Davis said the event would feature art the children made with help from their Year 4 buddies from Echuca Primary School and Duke of Edinburgh Award participants from St Joseph’s College.
“We’re doing the theme ‘wonders of country’,” Ms Davis said.
“We were reading Possum Magic, and they wanted to do some (drawings of) Australian animals and then as their imaginations grew, the artworks have evolved ... into the wonderful things that we see around our country.”
The centre is inviting families, friends and community members to come and visit the kindergarten, which opened last year.
“We’ll have something for everyone,” Ms Davis said.
“There’ll be activities, there’ll be some food, there’ll be some fun.”
The event will take place from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on Friday, September 4 at 297 Anstruther St, Echuca.
