Or maybe you’re searching for that one coin to complete your collection?
Come along to the Echuca Coin, Antique and Collectables Fair for a valuation or to find that one elusive item.
Echuca Coin, Antique and Collectables Fair organiser and owner of S&A Coins Steve Kirby said he chose Echuca-Moama after identifying it as an area without a dedicated coin and antiques fair.
“At the fair there will be a wide range of coins, from ancient times through to the modern releases from the Royal Australian Mint and the Perth Mint,” Mr Kirby said.
“There will be bank notes, Australian bank notes, world bank notes and trade tokens.
“At the time when the gold rush was on in Victoria, there will be old tradesmen's tokens that the merchants produced because there was a shortage of currency.”
The fair will also feature stamps, postcards and vintage toys.
“There is something for everyone at the fair,” Mr Kirby said.
“It is also a great opportunity for people to socialise together, for collectors to chat about what they collect, what their latest additions are, and reminisce.”
Children attending will receive a free coin bag and magazine, to encourage the next generation of collectors.
Mr Kirby, who has collected for nearly 40 years, encouraged visitors to bring along any old coins, stamps or inherited items.
“I'll be able to provide free valuations on the day, at the fair,” he said.
The Echuca Coin, Antique and Collectables Fair will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9am to 3pm at the Echuca Moama Uniting Church hall.
