Spring is a celebration of Kyabram turning 150 years old with the whole community set to enjoy the milestone.
In Kyabram there are bush dances, poetry readings, writing workshops, the Australian National Town Crying Championship, town dinners, markets, the Kyabram Agricultural Show, open days and much more all through spring.
Kyabram’s Big Birthday Bash, a family picnic event with food, drinks, children’s entertainment and local performers, will be celebrated at Wilf Cox Reserve on October 23, from 5.30pm.
There is so much to do in Campaspe in October, with Stanhope’s main street coming alive for the Stanhope Food and Wine Festival on October 4, you can pull carp from the Campaspe River all day long at Rochester’s Campaspe Carp Catch on Sunday, October 18 or rock the day and night away on October 24 at the RandK Rock and Roll competition and dance at the Rochester Town Hall.
Mathoura is a community that pulls together to support one another, as well as raising funds to support others.
The Mathoura Speed Shear will see shearers shear sheep in under 30 seconds on October 31, as well as the community coming together to raise funds for Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer at the Mathoura Bowling Club's Stone Cold fundraiser on November 28.
