To tackle Echuca’s ever-growing need for child learning centres, construction has started on a new 100-place early learning centre in the new development area of Yallarah.

Set to increase childcare capacity in Echuca’s growing western corridor, Wel.Co has officially commenced work on the centre, which is expected to open in mid-2027.
The centre is being delivered as part of the development of Yallarah, Echuca’s largest master planned community, which is planned to eventually include more than 2000 homes.
Beyond the early learning centre, Yallarah will offer residents around 30 hectares of green open space, complete with playgrounds, sporting facilities, a dog park, wetlands, and walking and cycling paths.
When fully developed, Yallarah will cover 213ha and represent more than $27 million in major infrastructure investment for the Echuca community.
With Campaspe Shire already supporting more than 5400 families, continued housing growth is expected to place increasing pressure on childcare and broader community services across the region.
The centre is expected to be operational by mid-2027, providing 100 additional places for local children.
