Several Southern Riverina football and netball players and club people were recognised at the Picola District Football Netball League’s night of nights on Monday.

A healthy crowd filled with club and league representatives gathered at Moama Bowling Club to celebrate a bumper season at the senior presentation evening.
From Tocumwal, Liam Sutton claimed the football rising star kicking 34 goals this season for the Bloods.
Berrigan’s Max Tallent was also a football rising star nominee after a stellar season.
Jerilderie had the best performing player for local clubs in the seniors football Pearce medal count, with Brad Aylett finishing third with 19 votes. The medal went to Katandra’s Bailey Bell with 33 votes, with Alex Hay of the Deniliquin Rovers runner-up on 20 votes.
Tocumwal netballer Rhiannan Maxwell was awarded joint runner-up in the A-grade best and fairest on 27 votes, after claiming the Lukies Medal last season. She shared the honour with Waaia’s Holly Boyd, and they were one vote behind Katandra best and fairest Rebecca Osmond on 28 votes.
In B-grade netball, Tocumwal’s Abby Wilson finished on the podium in equal third with 20 votes.
In the off field awards, Blighty Football Netball Club led the honours with thirds coach Tim Brown winning the league’s Junior Coach of the Year and club president Rhys Tremble named Administrator of the Year.
