International Women's Day at Echuca Library

THE fourth annual International Women’s Day event was held at Echuca library on Sunday afternoon.

About 60 people attended including two empowering guest speakers.

Megan Coburn and Dr Leah Kaminsky spoke openly about their challenges and experiences on the way to becoming authors.

Library services manager Jenny Mustey said the event was inspiring.

‘‘It was a very successful event,’’ she said.

‘‘Both speakers were excellent, although they are very different, they certainly had similarities in their positive approach to life.

‘‘Megan shared her health-related experiences and challenges that she has overcome and what drove her to write her book and what she wishes to achieve with its sales.

‘‘Leah spoke about her own background and the research and time that went into her new novel The Hollow Bones that officially launched on Tuesday, March 5, in Melbourne.’’

Ms Mustey thanked everyone who attended. International Women’s Day is today.
